Legendary film composer John Williams recently did an interview with Zap 2 It to discusses the upcoming Superman reboot Man of Steel. Of course, the conversation turned to STAR WARS: EPISODE VII and Williams had some information to offer.
“We’ve certainly talked about that, and I’m happy and willing to do it,” he confirms. “J.J. Abrams, who will be the director, seems excited about the idea. I have to say that J.J. is a much younger man than I, but I will try to keep up with him as much as I can!”
There’s a bit more in the interview. Personally, I think it’s great that the eighty-one-year-old Williams is willing to return, as his iconic film scores helped to make the STAR WARS films as much as any other element (and are arguably one of the best things to come out of the prequels).
