I was a long time fan of JediNet and frankly, after the prequels I didn’t venture out much online to any Star Wars news sites. I didn’t want to be spoiled and my interest in finding out the latest on the movies was dwindling. Simpy put, there wasn’t much that was bigger than Episode 3. The series was finally coming to an end and I’d found other avenues of interest to keep me occupied in the aftermath: the EU.
Like Club Jade, I’m not surprised JediNet has gone down the path of the blog. I like the change although it’s always sad to see a little piece of fandom history losing a part of itself to accomodate modern practices
With the success of the StarWars.com blogs, I hope to see more people encouraged to continue to post their opinions and other fan interests to keep the fire burning.
