Mark your calendars, September 23 is the date to be on the couch for some Sunday evening primetime television. The season premiere of Family Guy entitled “Blue Harvest” will air.
Here’s a brief synopsis of the episode:
The Griffin family is stuck at home during a blackout. With no TV to entertain them, Peter decides to tell a story that is a retelling of the key scenes and narrative from “Star Wars: A New Hope,” using “Family Guy” characters.

At the 2007 Comic Con International convention, a series of clips was shown at a panel for Family Guy from the season premiere episode. The clips showed the Family Guy characters dressed as Star Wars characters; Peter Griffin as Han Solo, Lois Griffin as Princess Leia, Meg Griffin as the trash compactor monster Dianoga, Chris Griffin as Luke Skywalker, Stewie Griffin as Darth Vader, and Brian as Chewbacca, along with the regular cast of characters who are also disguised as Star Wars characters, including Glenn Quagmire as C-3PO, Cleveland Brown as R2-D2, and Herbert as Obi Wan Kenobi.
