Must … have … Wii …
As if you needed another reason to shell out the wupi-wupi and buy yourself a Wii, looks like being a wiimote-wielding Jedi might be ever closer on the horizon. Like this Fall.
Yes, yes, WiiWii reports that a lightsaber game will be realized in the Autumn of 2007.
Speaking at the Hollywood & Games Summit LucasArts’ Jim Ward tackled the tricky subject of what would it take to have a game that used the Wiimote as a Lightsaber, following a question raised by Newsweek’s N’Gai Croal.
“We’re all over that,” said Ward, “and internally we have already played a Lightsaber game on the Wii. It’s a lot of fun, and we’ll get there.” He then added that the concept of Wiimote control was already in place in a game and “there’ll be some stuff out this autumn – it’s going to be a lot of fun.”
I’m trying to find the right adjective for this. Cool. Awesome. Wicked. Sweet. Karate explosion. Yeah, one of those.
