The Mandalorian’s Din Djarin and Grogu will return to the Star Wars comics.
As announced on StarWars.com, an eight-issue adaptation of the second season of The Mandalorian is on its way, with new covers released for some of the earlier issues. The story will be told. with one issue for every episode, starting with Chapter 9: The Marshal, the first episode of Season 2. This will display Din Djarin meeting Marshal Cobb Vanth.
The current creative team, made up of writer Rodney Barnes and artist Georges Jeanty, are teaming up again for the series., joined by artist Steven Cummings, as well. Cummings has previously worked on the Star Wars event series Hidden Empire.
“Adapting The Mandalorian has been a pure treat!” Barnes told StarWars.com. “The series embodies all aspects of the Star Wars universe: the myth, the mystery, and [the] spectacle that made me fall in love with it so long ago. It’s an honour to be part of this project!”
“I am thrilled to be able to be part of the world of The Mandalorian and get to draw some of his adventures,” added Cummings. “The Lone Wolf and Cub via the Old West vibe of the show has me excited to pick up my pencil every day and dive in.”
No release date for the comic adaptations is yet known but it will be announced soon.
