A book will tell the story in between Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Survivor, following Cal Kestis’ journey through the galaxy.
Random House Worlds will release a book that picks up where the story left off in Fallen Order and primes readers for Survivor. Written by bestselling author Sam Maggs, Star Wars Jedi: Battle Scars will be available to buy from March 7, 2023.
The book sees Cal and BD-1 taking the helm of the Stinger Mantis starship and its crew as they face down fresh dangers. As the Empire chases them down, the duo team up with new partner Bode Akuna and a past crewmate named Cere Junda.
“On what should be a routine mission, they [Cal and the crew] meet a stormtrooper determined to chart her own course with the help of Cal and the crew,” reads the description. “In exchange for help starting a new life, the Imperial deserter brings word of a powerful, potentially invaluable tool for their fight against the Empire. And even better, she can help them get to it.
“The only catch —pursuing it will bring them into the path of one of the Empire’s most dangerous servants, the Inquisitor known as the Fifth Brother.”
The book comes out exactly ten days ahead of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, making it the perfect way to reacquaint yourself with the characters ahead of playing the sequel game.
