Rosaria Dawson, who is set to play the lead role of Ahsoka in her titular Disney+ show, has hinted at a release date in a recent interview.
Speaking to TODAY, the actor gave a vague estimate of when we can expect to see the live-action Star Wars show on Disney+.
“Ahsoka, yeah, that’s probably gonna come out in the fall,” Dawson said. “We’re gonna have Haunted Mansion come out in August first, and I just did some beautiful Disney Plus commercial voice-over. And I’m like, have I just become a Disney Princess?”
Whether or not she’s a Disney Princess, this is far from a confirmed release date. We’ll need to wait for Disney to confirm this for sure, but around the second half of the year fits in with what we know so far.
So far, all we’ve had is some brief imagery from the show and a list of synopses to give us a flavour of what to expect. We don’t even really know when the TV show will play out for sure. It could pick up from where we last saw Ahsoka with Luke Skywalker in The Mandalorian, or journey back a way to unpick her history with Ezra Bridger and the rest from the animated series.
In Season 2 of The Mandalorian, Ahsoka referenced an ongoing mission she had to attend to while speaking with Din Djarin, which many fans believe is tracking down Admiral Thrawn – and with that, rescuing the missing Ezra.
We’ll have to wait for more detailed looks at the show and more information from Disney+ until we know for sure. When we do, you’ll be the first to know.
