A new Regal Robot collectible has been revealed in the shape of the Nien Nunb Concept Maquette Replica.

Regal Robot is continuing its series of collectibles to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Return of the Jedi with a new piece based on a certain Sullustan co-pilot. The Nien Nunb Concept Maquette Replica is a limited-edition item that will be available for order from May 25 at 4pm EST.

The 1:1 collectible stands approximately 15cm tall and is based on a 3D scan of the original piece. Designed and sculpted by FX artist Dave Carson during pre-production of Episode VI, the Nien Nunb Concept Maquette Replica will be priced at $399.

As part of Regal Robot’s continuing Archive Collection, the bust is made from solid, heavy resin and has been meticulously hand-painted. Each Nien Nunb Concept Maquette Replica includes a special 40th Anniversary Edition gold-toned metal plaque and arrives in a gloss black box, ready to be displayed.

In addition, each plaque is signed and hand-numbered by Dave Carson himself, making the Nien Nunb Concept Maquette Replica a unique work of art. Fans looking to pick up the limited-edition collectible will have to move quickly though, as the bust will only be available to order for 40 hours from the time listed above.

The look of the original maquette was chosen by George Lucas himself to eventually become Nien Nunb in Return of the Jedi. The character was then brought to life on screen as a full-size rubber mask and costume with a puppet used for close-up shots.

To find out more about the Nien Nunb Concept Maquette Replica and to place your order on May 25, head on over to the Regal Robot website.
