Star Wars’ Jon Favreau confirms that the live-action Ahsoka show has finished filming.

While doing interviews for The Mandalorian, executive producers Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni discussed Ahsoka at length, with Favreau confirming that the Star Wars show is now in post-production.

“What a rich legacy to build upon,” Favreau reflected. “Ahsoka is a big part of what’s happening in this time period. The question of how the different stories like Skeleton Crew and The Book of Boba Fett overlap, that is going to be ever-evolving, but there are strong stories that are being built concurrently in that world.

From what Favreau suggests, it seems that Ahsoka, Skeleton Crew, The Book of Boba Fett, and (presumably) The Mandalorian will all intersect in one way or another. We’ve already seen hints of this in The Mandalorian’s first episode with the appearance of a particular creature that might be familiar to some Star Wars fans.

The more we see from all of these titles, the more minor and major connections we can draw between them. Ahsoka has already appeared in The Mandalorian Season 2, referencing a bigger ‘mission’ that she needs to pursue. Could Din Djarin or other characters from The Mandalorian appear in her own live-action show? Only time will tell.

The Mandalorian is streaming weekly every Wednesday on Disney+. Ahsoka does not yet have a definite release date.
