The Bad Batch will return for their third season, as confirmed at Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023.

With Season 2 fresh in fan minds, executive producers Brad Rau, Jennifer Corbett, and Athena Portillo confirmed that Clone Force 99 would return for the third and final season while speaking at the Bad Batch panel. The series will premiere on Disney+ in 2024.

As well as this exciting announcement, an in-room teaser trailer was shown to attendees at the end of the panel, giving fans a sneak peek at Season 3. This confirms that work is well underway on the third season and outlines what we can expect from the climax of the troop’s story.

According to StarWars.com, the sneak-peek trailer began with the Emperor, voiced by Palpatine actor Ian McDiarmid, visiting Dr. Royce Hemlock, leader of the Empire’s cloning efforts, on Mount Tantiss.

“It is imperative that this facility remain secure,”  says Palpatine. “Your brilliance is a great asset to this Empire.”

All members of the Bad Batch are seen, with Hunter highlighting that the group are ready and eager to rescue Omega from her capture by the Empire: “Omega’s been waiting for us. I’m not making her wait another day.”

Attendees also saw Omega and a sullen Crosshair, both still in Imperial custody, as well as glimpses of several worlds and characters, such as Republic commandos, clones, Rex, and plenty of fantastical creatures, as well as a cameo from Ming-Na Wen’s bounty hunter, Fennec Shand.

We’ll have to wait until next year to see the show in full, but we’re sure to get a public trailer before then as well. Stay tuned for all the latest Bad Batch and Star Wars news.
