Developer Respawn has revealed that its upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Survivor game will include a fast travel ability and rideable creatures.
Electronic Arts and Respawn recently announced that the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Survivor video game would be slightly-delayed, with a revised launch date now set for April 28, 2023. The six-week period was said to be required to allow the team behind the sequel enough time for ‘final bug fixes to enhance performance, stability and polish.’
The highly-anticipated Star Wars Jedi: Survivor continues the story of Cal Kestis and BD-1 and is a direct follow-up to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. In a new interview with Play Magazine (via GamesRadar), more insights into the upcoming video game have been revealed, with the title’s director, Stig Asmussen, giving details into how players will be able to make their way around in a galaxy far, far away.
“We will feature both fast travel and rideable creatures to help players quickly get from point A to B, and back to A,” Asmussen says. “The fast-travel is point to point, and the rideable creatures offer a way to quickly negotiate between points and explore what is in between.”
Both game play features should be welcomed by players who want to return to previous locations to find all collectibles, as in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The announcement of rideable creatures follows earlier details of the game which reference Cal’s ability to “tame and ride” mounts.
