A first glimpse of fresh footage for two upcoming Star Wars TV shows has been revealed in an all-new Disney+ trailer.

With 2023 right around the corner, Disney+ is starting to get subscribers excited for a new year’s worth of content. The streamer has just released a trailer for some of the series planned for delivery over the next 12 months, with footage of two upcoming Star Wars shows included in the mix.

Although the glimpses are very brief, we do get to see the return of both Din Djarin and Grogu, with Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 3 confirmed to be dropping on March 1, 2023. Quick clips show the fan-favourite characters exploring a dimly-lit environment and travelling through hyperspace in Djarin’s N-1 Starfighter, plus multiple Mandalorian warriors preparing for battle and Carl Weathers’ Greef Karga. Also confirmed to reappear in the upcoming third season are Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze, Emily Swallow as The Armorer and Amy Sedaris as Peli Motto, plus newcomers Tim Meadows and Christopher Lloyd.

In addition, the new Disney+ trailer has the very first look at Rosario Dawson as the title character in Star Wars: Ahsoka. The live-action version of the former Jedi Padawan made her debut in the second season of The Mandalorian, with the upcoming show written and directed by her co-creator, Dave Filoni. Multiple characters from the animated Star Wars Rebels show have been revealed to be appearing in the series including Sabine Wren, Ezra Bridger and potentially Grand Admiral Thrawn, as well as Ahsoka Tano’s former mentor, Anakin Skywalker, played once again by Hayden Christensen.

Star Wars: Ahsoka will begin streaming on Disney+ sometime in 2023, although no official date has been confirmed so far.
