Hosted at ExCel London form April 7-10, Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023 and its many panels had dozens of reveals to go over, all summarised in this comprehensive guide.
First Jedi film
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny director James Mangold is set to helm a movie about the first Jedi, not to be confused with Rian Johnson’s The Last Jedi. It will take place at the start of the Star Wars timeline, 25,000 years before the prequel trilogy and is described as a ‘biblical’ epic.
Post-The Rise of Skywalker movie
Daisy Ridley is coming back to a galaxy far, far away to reprise the role of Rey in a film set 15 years after The Rise of Skywalker and directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. Rey is looking to rebuild the Jedi order once more, but further details are unknown at this stage.
MandoVerse crossover film
Dave Filoni of The Mandalorian, The Clone Wars, Rebels and more is finally directing a movie. It will culminate the events of the New Republic-era series, including The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka, so we can likely expect the debut of Grogu on the big screen.
Ahsoka trailer and casting details
The first trailer for Ahsoka was released and it confirms that the series acts as a sequel to Star Wars Rebels, featuring Sabine Wren, Ezra Bridger, Chopper and Hera Syndulla. There are also new faces, with Baylan and Shin having a pair of orange lightsabers between them. Arguably the most exciting reveal for Ahsoka was that Lars Mikkelsen is back as Thrawn.
Andor Season 2 footage
Revealed exclusively at the event, footage from the second season of Andor showed how key characters have evolved since the first season. The series is currently midway through filming and targeting an August 2024 debut on Disney+.

Though little has been released to those not in attendance, footage from the series featured dozens of Jedi, and a Wookiee Jedi played by Joonas Suatamo was confirmed too.

Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi Season 2
The anthological Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi is coming back for a second season in 2024. Unfortunately, that’s all that was said at Star Wars Celebration, though the first season was split between Count Dooku and Ahsoka Tano, so the second may follow a similar pattern.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3
Star Wars: The Bad Batch is almost at its end as it has been confirmed that the third season of the series of the animated show will be its last. However, following the climactic conclusion at the end of the second season, there’s still a lot for these clones to get done.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew plot details
Jude Law is confirmed to be a Jedi in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, as more details regarding the plot were revealed when some of the cast took to the stage at the event. The series revolves around a group of children lost in the galaxy and guided by Law’s Jedi character as they try to get home. Footage was showcased exclusively at the event too, but we’ve yet to receive a publicly-available trailer.
