Lucasfilm Publishing is expanding the Star Wars universe with a hardcover illustrated guide dedicated to the High Republic Era.
This period of time lasted for centuries and is thought to be the height of the Galactic Republic. It saw the Jedi Order arguably at its strongest, withe expansion of the Republic reaching into the Outer Rim.
The upcoming book will be written by Cole Horton, author of Star Wars Absolutely Everything You Need to Know and LEGO Star Wars: Chronicles of the Force. The 160-page hardcover is designed to recover earlier High Republic adventures and guide new readers through this era.
As an in-universe reference manual, it is intended to be read as though you live in the Star Wars universe, with information on the Jedi Knights adventures well before any of the names we know from the films (Skywalker, Kenobi, Palpatine) about were around.
It’s filled with original illustrations, explanatory historical-style writing, concept artwork, background details, timeline charts, character profiles, lightsaber designs, and mysteries of the Force that flesh out the golden age of the Jedi to impressive levels.
Insight Editions’ Chronicles of the Jedi: An Illustrated Guide To The Galaxy’s Golden Age will go on sale from March 21.
