It’s been revealed that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was one of the five best-selling video games of 2022.
Last year saw the long-awaited release of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, a multi-platform video game that covered the entire length and breadth of the nine-film saga and then some. Developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros. Games, the title went on to smash all sorts of launch records and has now clocked up yet another milestone.
According to data released by NPD, not only was LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga one of the best-selling video games of 2022, it was also in the top five of all such titles. Sales figures for the year show the TT Games release coming in at number five in a list of the 10 most successful titles in that period, sandwiched between Sony’s God of War: Ragnarok and Nintendo’s Pokémon: Scarlet and Violet.
Launched on April 5, 2022, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga arrived on PS4/PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X and PC, with a Deluxe Edition including a Luke Skywalker with Blue Milk minifigure. Following its release, TT Games staggered a total of 13 additional DLC packs containing playable characters from such Star Wars TV shows as The Clone Wars, Rebels, The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
An updated version of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was released on November 1, 2022, with the Galactic Edition featuring all of the DLC packs available to date.
