Fans wanting actor Liam Neeson to return to his role as Qui-Gon Jinn at some point in the future shouldn’t hold out hope for a spin-off series featuring the Jedi Master.

The final episode of Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi included a brief cameo from Qui-Gon Jinn as a Force ghost, with Liam Neeson reprising his famous role in person for the first time since The Phantom Menace. The actor had previously returned to voice the character in recent years in episodes of The Clone Wars and Tales of the Jedi, as well as Attack of the Clones and The Rise of Skywalker.

However, fans hoping that Neeson might appear as the character once again in any potential Qui-Gon Jinn spin-off projects are unfortunately out of luck. In a video interview with Men’s Health, the actor indicated that he has no interest in reprising the role of the Jedi Master and that his time with the franchise is done.

“No,” Neeson stated. “Star Wars, no. As much as I admire them… There’s just so many of them. So I’ve lost track, unfortunately.” However, whilst a possible live-action Qui-Gon Jinn series on Disney+ may be off the table, there’s always the possibility that the actor could lend his vocal talents to future animated projects, although that remains pure speculation for now.

Fans looking for more adventures featuring the Jedi Master would do well to check out Kiersten White’s 2022 young adult novel, Padawan, which explores the relationship between Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi, as well as Claudia Gray’s Master & Apprentice to find out why the character believed in the prophecy of the Chosen One.
