Everyone’s favourite smoothie will soon be appearing in Marvel’s upcoming Star Wars: Return of the Jedi – Lando # 1 one-shot comic book.
The official Star Wars website has revealed that Marvel will be publishing a new one-shot in May 2023 that features the adventures of the former Baron Administrator of Cloud City. Star Wars: Return of the Jedi – Lando # 1 is written by Stephanie Phillips with art by Álvaro López, a cover by Ryan Brown and variant covers by Lee Garbett, Ryan Brown, Rahzzah, Brian Stelfreeze and Tyler Kirkham.
The Marvel comic book follows Lando and Chewbacca as they set off on a journey to complete a heist for the vile gangster, Jabba the Hutt, as a way to ultimately reclaim a carbonite-frozen Han Solo. Along the way the duo encounters a dangerous figure from Lando’s past that threatens their plans and lives and Chewbacca discovers he needs to put his trust in the person who betrayed his friend to the Empire, if they’re both to survive in one piece.
Star Wars: Return of the Jedi – Lando # 1 is part of a series of one-shots that Marvel is releasing this year to mark the 40th anniversary of Return of the Jedi. It follows the arrival of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi – Jabba’s Palace # 1 in March and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi – Ewoks # 1 in April. All of the above titles should be available from your local comic book stores.
