Clone Force 99 is offered a glimmer of hope for a better tomorrow in the latest episode of Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2.
The latest instalment of Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 dropped this week, with ‘Pabu’ giving Clone Force 99 a short break from the daily struggles of life in a galaxy far, far away. Episode 13 of the Disney+ animated series may kick off with a battle in a bar, but it ultimately takes the squad to a tranquil world that shows them a potential future, one that doesn’t include an endless fight for survival.
When a deal in a shady drinking den on an unnamed planet goes sideways, Clone Force 99 has to come to the aid of Phee Genoa and the group is forced to flee the world just in the nick of time. Suggesting they head to Pabu for a well-earned break and the chance for Omega to spend some time with kids of her own age, Phee and the team soon arrive at the stunning island paradise.
The idyllic and friendly community welcomes the clones with open arms and plenty of food for an always-hungry Wrecker. Whilst relaxing, Omega is introduced to Lyana, the daughter of the island’s resident leader, Shep Hazard, with the two children bonding straight away and heading out for relaxing boat ride together.
However, the peace is soon shattered by a massive tidal wave that’s heading towards the atoll, one that places Omega and Lyana in imminent danger. Jumping into action, Clone Force 99 and Phee work together to try and evacuate the islanders to safety ahead of the impending threat, whilst Hunter attempts a daring rescue of the stranded children before the tidal wave reaches them.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 is currently streaming on Disney+, with episode 14, ‘Tipping Point,’ due to drop on March 22.
