Lucasfilm and Disney+ have revealed the first full trailer, poster and cast list for the upcoming Star Wars: Visions Volume 2.

Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023 was the place to be this past weekend, with the show playing host to more than 32,000 fans from all over the globe. During the four-day event at ExCel London, a number of panels revealed details of the future of the franchise, from live-action movies and TV shows to video games and animation.

When it came to the latter, Lucasfilm and Disney+ saved one of the best for last. At the final day of the show, fans were treated to a trailer for the upcoming Star Wars: Visions Volume 2 (which can be watched below), the follow-up to the first critically-acclaimed anthology series. As with Volume 1, the second collection of nine shorts will feature a variety of animation styles from nine separate studios, each bringing their own unique voices to a galaxy far, far away.

In ‘Sith’ by El Guiri, a tense lightsaber battle takes place between a Master and his former apprentice, while ‘In the Stars’ from Punkrobot focuses on two sisters as they fight to survive the encroaching Empire. ‘Journey to the Dark Head’ is the creation of Studio Mir and features a hopeful mechanic and a disillusioned Jedi teaming up, with the award-winning Aardman putting a humorous spin on the series in ‘I Am Your Mother,’ the story of a pilot called Anni who enters into a madcap family race at the academy.

In addition, a first poster for Star Wars: Visions Volume 2 has also been released, as well as a full cast list for the animated collection of shorts, which can viewed over at the official Star Wars website.

Star Wars: Visions Volume 2 will be dropping on Disney+ on May 4, with all nine shorts available to stream from that date.
