The first three animated Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures shorts have been released on the official Star Wars Kids and Disney Junior YouTube channels.
Originally scheduled to arrive on Disney+ on May 4, Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures was recently announced as having been pulled forward, with a revised launch date of April 26. Set during the High Republic era, 100 years before the events of the Skywalker saga, the show follows a group of Jedi younglings as they explore the galaxy, help citizens and creatures in need, and learn the ways of the Force. The cast of characters includes Master Yoda, Jedi younglings Kai, Lys, and Nubs, as well as their companions, Nash and RJ-83.
In a surprise move, the first three Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures animated shorts have dropped on the official Star Wars Kids and Disney Junior YouTube channels and can be viewed below. It’s also now been confirmed that the complete line-up of shorts will arrive on Disney+ and Disney Junior on April 26, with the full series premiering on Disney+ on its original May 4 release date.
A poster image for the upcoming series has been released, showing the main Jedi younglings ready for their next challenge, along with Master Yoda and two unidentified ships in the sky above.
A special Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures screening is planned to take place at Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023, on April 8 from 3pm to 4pm. Two episodes of the animated show will be debuting for those in attendance, with the panel hosted by Krystina Arielle.
