Stunning concept art featured in the end credits of the first episode of Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 3 has dropped online.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 3 is back on Disney+, with all-new episodes of the fan favourite series available each Wednesday. The highly-anticipated show made its welcome return to the platform last week, sending Din Djarin and Grogu off on their latest adventure in a galaxy far, far away.

Chapter 17, ‘The Apostate,’ featured multiple new locations, characters and vehicles, whilst familiar faces and planets also made an appearance. As has become the norm for live-action Star Wars series, the latest episode of The Mandalorian also showcased images of the show’s incredible concept artwork during the end credits.

Thanks to the official Star Wars: The Mandalorian Twitter account, it’s now possible for fans to take a closer look at the initial designs that inspired the show’s signature visuals. Six key pieces have been shared online, created by super-talented Lucasfilm concept artists Christian Alzmann, Ryan Church and Brett Northcutt.

The images reflect specific scenes from ‘The Apostate,’ such as Grogu giving a tiny Anzellan droidsmith a friendly hug, IG-11 being reassembled, Din Djarin paying Bo-Katan Kryze a visit on Kalevala and The Mandalorian battling Gorian Shard’s space pirates. Concept material from the first two seasons of the show have already been compiled in two editions of The Art of Star Wars: The Mandalorian by Phil Szostak and Doug Chiang, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed for a third such book at some point.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 3 is currently streaming on Disney+ for all subscribers, with new episodes dropping weekly.
