Origins and Formation
The First Order was formed from the remnants of the Galactic Empire, which was defeated at the end of the original Star Wars trilogy. Following the Battle of Endor, the Empire gradually lost control over its territories and was forced to retreat to the Unknown Regions of space. There, it reorganised and began to rebuild its military under the leadership of a mysterious figure known as Snoke.
Snoke, a powerful Force user, recruited loyal Imperial officers and soldiers to his cause, and began to amass resources and weapons for the First Order. He also began to train a new generation of Stormtroopers, who were taken from their families as children and indoctrinated into the First Order’s ideology.
Goals and Beliefs
The First Order sees itself as the rightful successor to the Galactic Empire, and seeks to restore order and stability to the galaxy through military force. Its leaders believe that the Republic and the Jedi are weak and corrupt, and that only the First Order can bring peace and prosperity to the galaxy.
The First Order is also deeply xenophobic, and believes that non-human species are inferior to humans. This is reflected in its policies towards alien populations, which are often harsh and discriminatory.
Military Capabilities
The First Order is a highly militarised organisation, and possesses a formidable array of weapons and technology. Its fleet includes massive Star Destroyers, advanced TIE fighters, and other powerful warships, as well as ground forces equipped with heavy armour and weaponry.
The First Order also has access to a superweapon known as Starkiller Base, which is capable of destroying entire planets with a single shot. This weapon is powered by a massive kyber crystal, which is similar to the one used to power the Death Star in the original Star Wars trilogy.
