Species

The Grand Inquisitor’s species is not explicitly named in the Star Wars Rebels series or in any other official material. However, many fans speculate that he may be a member of the Pau’an species, which was first introduced in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith as the species of the character Tion Medon.

Pau’ans are characterized by their tall, slender frames and their pale, gaunt faces, which bear some resemblance to the Grand Inquisitor’s appearance. Additionally, Pau’ans are known to have some sensitivity to the Force, which would be consistent with the Grand Inquisitor’s role as a former Jedi Temple Guard.

Abilities

As a former Jedi Temple Guard, the Grand Inquisitor was highly skilled in lightsaber combat and Force techniques. After he joined the Inquisitorius, he honed his abilities further, becoming a formidable opponent for any Jedi who crossed his path.

Fate

The Grand Inquisitor met his demise during the first season of Star Wars Rebels, in the episode “Fire Across the Galaxy.” In a climactic battle with the series’ heroes, the Grand Inquisitor chose to take his own life rather than face defeat at the hands of the Jedi.
