The release date of Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures has been moved forward, giving us the entire first season earlier than expected.

Young Jedi Adventures was previously thought to be released on the auspicious day of May 4. However, a recent press release from Disney+ has suggested the animated series will premiere a week earlier, on April 26 – a week earlier than first reported.

“Set during The High Republic era, the animated series follows Jedi younglings as they study the ways of the Force, explore the galaxy, help citizens and creatures in need, and learn valuable skills needed to become Jedi along the way,” reads the show description.

All the episodes of the first season will air at once, with early looks. at the characters following a very different animated style to other Star Wars shows.

The cast is known to include Master Yoda, training Jedi younglings Kai, Lys, and Nubs, as well as two other companions, Nash and RJ-83.

“As an early entry point into Star Wars, we have created a series with exciting new and familiar characters and storylines that highlight the values of compassion, teamwork, and friendship, which are important elements for all of our Disney Junior programming,” said Alyssa Sapire, senior vice president, Development, Series, Strategy, Disney Junior.
