The Book of Boba Fett composer Joseph Shirley is also working on the score for The Mandalorian Season 3.
Having previously worked on major titles like Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Tenet, composer Joseph Shirley will return to the Star Wars universe in The Mandalorian Season 3, following his work on The Book of Boba Fett. Shirley also worked closely with Ludwig Göransson’s team for the first two seasons of the show, credited as the score composer while Göransson provided the themes, according to Film Music Reporter.
The soundscape of The Mandalorian has already been highly praised alongside its actors and cinematography, earning the show a nomination for Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Comedy Or Drama Series (One Hour) for Chapter 13: The Jedi and Outstanding Music Composition For A Series (Original Dramatic Score) for Chapter 16: The Rescue
back in 2021.
Gearing up for a third season with a dedicated fanbase and the bulging budget that accompanies such shows, we can only hope that the score and music will continue to grow and improve with the show.
