Donald Glover could make his second appearance in the Star Wars universe sometime soon.
We’ve already seen Glover appear in Star Wars as young Lando Calrissian in Solo – and now the smuggler could make a return in an unknown future Star Wars project, according to comments made by the actor in an interview with GQ.
“I would love to play Lando again,” Glover told GQ Magazine. “It’s a fun time to be him. It just needs to be the right way to do it.”
Citing the pandemic making people realise what’s important to them, Glover continued that the project needs to feel right for him to agree.
“I’m not interested in doing anything that’s going to be a waste of my time or just a paycheck,” he commented. “I’d much rather spend time with people that I enjoy. It just. has to be the right thing – which I think it could be.”
Glover is certainly keeping his cards close to his chest, but he did confirm that talks are in the works.
“We’re talking about it,” “That’s as much as I can say without [Lucasfilm president] Kathleen Kennedy hunting me down.”
Perhaps we’ll hear more about this project or others during Star Wars Celebration 2023 throughout this weekend. Whenever the confirmation comes, we can’t wait for Glover to hopefully return to a galaxy far, far away.
