The Book of Boba Fett created a problem for The Mandalorian Season 3

The Book of Boba Fett has created a problem for The Mandalorian Season 3 before the first episode has even aired.

The fifth episode of The Book of Boba Fett was lightheartedly ridiculed at the time, with jokes being made that it wasn’t really Boba’s show anymore, but Din Djarin’s. The episode focused wholly on Din and Grogu, followed up by a finale that resolved Grogu’s arc that began at the end of The Mandalorian Season 2.

Grogu returned to Din Djarin’s side, resuming his role as a foundling. However, this does leave the third season of The Book of Boba Fett with a problem for some fans.

For those who haven’t watched The Book of Boba Fett, or perhaps have only watched The Mandalorian (which is entirely possible, as it’s Disney+’s most-watched show), they won’t understand why Grogu is suddenly back with Mando, where Luke went, or essentially what on earth is going.

Inevitably, Season 3 will kick off with a recap, but it’s not quite the same as watching it play out in real-time. Star Wars has taken interlocking the plots of different titles to a new level in this way, resolving entire plot arcs ostensibly off-screen, from some perspectives.

Hopefully, fans won’t be too confused when the first episode of the third season air on March 1.
