A brand new LEGO Star Wars: Return of the Jedi 40th anniversary set – 75356 Executor Super Star Destroyer – popped up out of nowhere earlier this week.
Without so much as a teaser on social media, a 630-piece LEGO Star Wars set of the Super Star Destroyer appeared on LEGO.com on March 1. Pre-orders were available instantly in most markets, with the United States already selling out of all sets allocated for pre-order.
That means that any Americans keen for the set who haven’t yet secured a pre-order will need to wait for May 1 to put in their order – and act quickly, if the storming success of pre-orders is anything to go by.
The 18+ display set was released as part of the 40th anniversary of Return of the Jedi and comes with its own display stand for a sleek appearance. It also comes with two (far smaller) Star Destroyers to attach to the side of the ship, to create your own LEGO Imperial fleet. At 43cm long, it’s a nice balance to many of the far larger (and more costly) LEGO Star Wars sets that we’ve seen in recent months.
75356 Executor Super Star Destroyer will launch in full on May 1, costing £59.99/ €69.99/$69.99. You can still pre-order the set in most market outside of the United States by heading to your region’s official LEGO website.
