Prop maker Regal Robot has revealed pre-order details for its upcoming Star Wars Archive Collection Tusken Raider Gaffi Stick replicas.
Following hot on the heels of its Ree-Yees Maquette Replica, prop maker Regal Robot has announced yet another Star Wars collectible, this one based on a weapon first seen in A New Hope. Pre-orders are now open for the company’s Star Wars Archive Collection Tusken Raider Gaffi Stick replica, with two versions of the item available.
First revealed at last year’s Star Wars Celebration 2022 event, the Mandalorian Tusken Raider Gaffi Stick Numbered Edition is priced at $1,399.00 (plus shipping and handling) and is limited to just 150 pieces. Created using the same molds as the Disney+ show, the fearsome weapon includes a hand-numbered metal plaque and custom wood base.
The second version is the Star Wars: A New Hope Hero Prop replica Roger Christian Signature Edition. Priced at $1,999.00 (plus shipping and handling), the collectible is also limited to 150 pieces. However, this version of the Tusken Raider Gaffi Stick replica has been mastered from a high-resolution 3D scan of the original artifacts and features a hand-numbered metal plaque signed by original 1977 prop builder, Roger Christian.
You can find out more about how the unique Tusken Raider weapon was created in the YouTube video above. Academy Award winner Christian talks about his work on the Gaffi Sticks back in 1976 and how he helped set the look for the original trilogy film.
