Following last week’s intrigue and surprises on Coruscant, Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 continues with a risky mission on a hostile world.

Clone Force 99 are front and centre in this week’s episode of Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2, as what’s left of the squad heads to a new planet in order to mine a potentially lucrative (and dangerous) substance for Cid.

In episode 9, ‘The Crossing’, the team faces a number of obstacles, with chief amongst those being the harsh environment of the strange new world itself. Whilst Wrecker and Omega stand guard outside the mine to watch for poachers, Hunter and Tech head inside to attempt to locate any precious ipsium that may still be located within.

Occupied in the mine, the squad fails to see the Marauder being stolen by a mysterious thief before it’s too late. With no way off the planet and a massive storm approaching, Clone Force 99 heads to a nearby spaceport in order to try and secure a transport.

Narrowly avoiding a stampede and attempting to stay ahead of the storm, the team manages to find shelter in another abandoned mine before the volatile ipsium explodes, leaving them trapped underground. Upset over Echo’s departure in last week’s episode and the theft of the Marauder, Omega heads off deeper into the mine and makes a discovery that could save the day, if the young clone can stay alive long enough to obtain it.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 is currently streaming on Disney+, with episode 10, ‘Retrieval’, available to watch on February 22, 2023.
