The latest two-part Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 episode tasks Clone Force 99 with putting their trust in the word of a thief.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 continues with the second part of a story that features Clone Force 99 attempting to retrieve the team’s stolen ship and make it off an inhospitable mining world in one (slightly-battered) piece. (Spoilers ahead)
Following the events of episode 9, ‘The Crossing,’ the elite squad finds itself stuck on a remote world and awaiting rescue by smuggler, Cid. Waking up in a deserted mining town, the team repairs a ‘piece of junk’ speeder and manages to track down Gonky, who just happens to still be onboard the stolen Marauder.
In episode 10, ‘Retrieval,’ a lot of the focus is on a young thief called Benni who’s taken the stolen ship back to his taskmaster of a boss, Mokko. The overbearing alien runs an operation to mine for precious ipsium, keeping his workers on the edge of starvation while he himself gorges on all of the profits.
Clone Force 99 seemingly manages to convince Benni to help the team liberate the Marauder, but the thief has priorities of his own. It’s therefore up to the squad to secure their ride off-world, if possible, but not before they have a run-in with Mokko and his young and hungry workforce.
In addition to the latest episode of the show, the official Star Wars: The Bad Batch Twitter account has recently released two new character posters to promote the series. Based on their appearances in episodes seven and eight, ‘The Clone Conspiracy’ and ‘Truth and Consequences,’ the images feature Senator Riyo Chuchi and the menacing visage of Emperor Palpatine himself.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 is currently streaming on Disney+, with episode 11 of the series, ‘Metamorphosis,’ due to drop on March 1, 2023.
