Wookiees make a welcome return in the latest episode of Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2, available to stream on Disney+ right now.
Following last week’s near-disastrous search for a legendary lost treasure, the latest episode of Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 sees Clone Force 99 heading to the Wookiee homeworld of Kashyyyk. (Spoilers ahead)
In ‘Tribe,’ the elite squad’s latest adventures initially take them to an orbiting space station run by droids of the Vanguard Axis. Whilst attempting to trade forged chain codes with the smugglers, Echo and Omega encounter the Wookiee, Gungi, a scared survivor of Order 66. The droids had been attempting to sell the Jedi Padawan onto an unknown buyer, but the intervention of Clone Force 99 manages to free the fan favourite character.
Deciding to return Gungi to his people, the team makes its way to Kashyyyk, with the planet being exploited by the Galactic Empire. Working alongside the Imperial forces are Trandoshans who are decimating the world’s forests and enslaving its Wookiee inhabitants. Clone Force 99 offer their services in an attempt to thwart the invaders, but will even their unique skills help save the day?
Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 is currently available to stream for all subscribers, with two mid-season episodes, ‘The Clone Conspiracy’ and ‘Truth and Consequences’ due to arrive on February 8, 2023.
