Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 continues today on Disney+, with episode 4 featuring the return of pod racing in all but name. (Spoilers)

Episode 4 of Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 is now available to watch on Disney+, with ‘Faster’ taking a handful of the Clone Force 99 squad on a mission with Cid to the Safa Toma Speedway. Wrecker and Tech accompany the Trandoshan smuggler as bodyguards, taking Omega along with them on the ride.

At the arena, Cid introduces the team to riot racing, a fast-paced sport that’s basically Podracing with blasters. We get to meet TAY-O, a droid ringer who pilots a 12 series speeder for the smuggler. The character is voiced by Sonic the Hedgehog’s Ben Schwartz and constantly boasts and wisecracks about his superior flying skills.

We also get to meet Millegi, an old rival of Cid’s, and get to learn her full name at last – Ciddarin Scaleback. The two challenge each other to a race in order to wipe out Cid’s outstanding debts, with a battle to the finish line between Millegi’s Nosaurian ringer, Jet Venim, and TAY-0 ending in the droid’s destruction. With a wrecked pod and no pilot, Omega is forced to make a deal with Millegi to save Cid’s life.

Tech therefore steps up to take part in the high-stakes race, using his unique skills and the salvaged pod to take on a sneaky Venim and a number of other less-than-savoury rival pilots. To find out whether he manages to make it to the finish line in one piece, be sure to check out ‘Faster’ right now.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 is currently streaming on Disney+ for all subscribers, with episode 5 due to drop on January 25, 2023.
